Burn GM Greg Elliott says the midfielder targeted can probably fit as a Discovery player. “We are going to resolve the Gibbs situation first, but the midfielder will happen right after that. We have two allocations and will use the other if we feel it’s necessary. But of the short list of players we have, the one we are closest to agreement with we think we can get as a discovery player.”
Don’t expect to see the player signed without the Burn taking a look though.
Clarifying the situation Elliott said , “We will reach an agreement in principle with the player then bring him into Spain for a final look before we finalize the move. We will hold onto the other Allocation for the future since our three senior international spots will be full.”
