Cory Gibbs was introduced to assembled media this morning prior to team training at the University of Texas at Dallas. Gibbs said he was pleased to be in Dallas and had chosen to sign here partially on the recommendation of Bruce Arena.
“We’re very excited to have Cory on board,” said Colin Clarke. “I spoke to a lot of people regarding Cory before we consummated the deal and I heard nothing but good things about him both on and off the field. I talked to (US Men’s National Team Head Coach) Bruce Arena who spoke very highly of him and regards him to be one of the best young American central defenders. He’s got a great future ahead of him and we’re looking for him to be the mainstay of our defense for years to come.”
