The MLS Players Union has released some of the contract numbers for 2013, you can see them below. There are a couple of things worth commenting on.
- Part of Eric Hassli’s salary is being paid by Toronto. Last year he was on $550k/$790K so FCD is getting a real bargain there.
- David Ferreira is still FCD’s only Designated Player.
- George John’s raise is a touch higher than I expected. I thought he would be closer to $200k. Still a well-deserved raise though.
- Michel is a steal at $60k/$81k.
- Raul Fernandez has some serious bonus potential. That could be a cap problem next year.
- Ugo Ihemelu and Peter Luccin are on injured reserve. Their roster spots are available but their salaries remain on the cap. Luccin’s number on there is frustrating.
- Moises Hernandez isn’t technically on the roster since he’s on a season-long loan.
