Usually, the title of this feature is in reference to what we’re going to do in the piece. But this time, it’s also representative of what happened with FC Dallas.
March was a month to forget for FC Dallas fans, so let’s rip the band aid off.
The FC Dallas U19s had a fantastic run in the 2024 Dallas Cup finishing runner-ups in the Super Group.
And then it was the big one, the FC Dallas U19s capped off a fantastic run reaching the U19 Super Group final on Sunday.
The FC Dallas ECNL 07 Girls took on Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday bringing home an 8-0 and their 3rd straight Dallas Cup Championship.
After a week off, 11th in the West FC Dallas (1-3-0, 3 points) travels to 13th in the West Austin FC (0-2-3, 3 points) for a game tonight (Saturday) at 7:30 pm in Q2 Stadium.
The Super Group Semis is what I call peak Super Group. Teams have had a day off to get a little fresh and, in theory, you get the more elite teams of that year. Damn did we get a couple of good ones this year.
Thank God it was a bye week. I usually don’t get geeked for international breaks, or whatever passes for international breaks in this league, but at least it gave us fans a week-long break from watching the steady procession of players onto the injury list.
