It’s that time again, Time for me to run through all the FC Dallas Academy and Youth rosters for the 2025 Dallas Cup. This year I’m starting with the U17s at Dallas Cup.
“Why the U17s,” I hear you ask?
Because FC Dallas doesn’t have a U19s Academy side anymore to play in the Super Group. The oldest FCD side, the U18s, are playing in the GA Cup. I don’t have that roster yet.
FCD is fielding a side in the Dallas Cup in the Super Group, and we’ll get to that team at some point, but I don’t have that roster yet either. I’m fascinated to see what that team looks like.
FC Dallas U17s – 2008s
Head Coach: Matias Asorey
This U17 group is missing a couple of their “normal” 2008s that may show up on different rosters because of the GA Cup and the Dallas Cup being at the same time. Two players from this class are signed to North Texas SC and aren’t on this roster.

The Buzz List
Here are some dudes I find intriguing on this roster. (In alphabetical order)
Ninor Olu – A physical and athletic defender who has come on in the last year. Can play CB and LB but probably LB long term unless he gets taller.
Matthew Razo – An immense engine, I love his work rate and tenacity. I like him better as a 6 than an 8. He’s getting better at going a complete game and not burning out.
Caleb Wegman – A GAM who is well over 6’4″ and has finally grown into his height. He moves well and is intriguing with that kind of size.
Ougir Vega – Joined FCD right before last year’s Dallas Cup and had an outstanding tournament. Quality player who does a lot of the work for this team.
Gavin Vo – An excellent all-around soccer player who can play almost anywhere. Listed as a central mid (8), I think I’ve seen him at central mid, center back, and outside back. Every time I see him, I like him more.
