North Texas SC has signed forward Faisu Sangare to an MLS NEXT Pro contract for the 2025 season with a club option for 2026.
“Faisu is a strong, powerful center forward that holds the ball up well with a good feel for link-up play. He’s aggressive and determined in his play both on the ground and in the air,” North Texas SC head coach John Gall said. “He’s confident in the box, has a tremendous mentality and comes from a footballing background as a youth player at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League. He will add something different to the squad that we are looking forward to.”
The Liberian native joins North Texas SC from Buxton Football Club of the National League North in England. A product of the Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy, he also spent time with FC United of Manchester and Oldham Athletic.
3rd Degree’s Take
Our man Dan Crooke says the National League North is about the same level of play as MLS Next. How that translates to MLS is a good question.
Having lost Argentine striker Gianluca Cangiano to a knee injury, NTSC brass must have felt they needed a striker. Why they can’t just use a combination of Sam Sarver, Tarick Scott, Daniel Baran, their newest hybrid signing Sam Sedeh, and Academy striker Chris Salazar is hard to understand.
