The Mesquite Outlaws and the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today that the Outlaws will be returning to MASL play for the 2022-23 season.
The Dallas Sidekicks have announced two major changes this week: General Manager and Director of Operations Jesse Llamas has been promoted to team President, and Simon Bozas has stepped down as Head Coach.
Tatu’s signing as the inaugural head coach for the Mesquite Outlaws last summer was hardly a surprise but it signaled a change in the local indoor soccer weather.
The Outlaws have won all three of their match-ups against the storied Sidekicks, and have been competitive in almost every other match against some of the best teams in the league.
The cliché is supposed to go, “There is a new sheriff in town,” but on Saturday, it will be a new team with a number of familiar faces that is in town as the Mesquite Outlaws play their home opener, against the Dallas Sidekicks of all teams.
It’s once again time to head indoors for the winter, with the Dallas Sidekicks set to return for their fifth season in the Major Arena Soccer League. This time they’ll have a new local rival in the Mesquite Outlaws, and will play in a consolidated and expanded 8-team Western Conference.
