| 4/20/99 | The Burn to sign Colombian forward John Jairo Trellez this week, Burn officials confirmed yesterday. Trellez, 30, has several appearances in international matches for the Colombian National Team and should help bolster the Burn’s offensive production this season. Like Burn midfielder Leonel Alvarez, Trellez is a native of Medellin, Colombia. Trellez’s Major League Soccer debut comes after time with several international clubs, his most recent being Boca Juniors of Argentina’s first division.
