Last week saw Texoma try out a new formation with a 4-4-2 diamond and Texoma remained in the diamond formation for this week. Ajmeer Spengler was out of the matchday squad due to a red card in the previous match. Ozzie Ramos returned to the starting XI, and centerback Reid Valentine was introduced to the starting XI and slid out to right back.

FC Dallas loanee, Diego Pepi, was officially listed as injured on the club’s pre-match report and may be out for some time.

FC Naples started the game on the front foot and saw the first chance of the match in the 5th minute, but were unable to take the lead.

Mason McCready was called into action for the first time during the 13th minute.

Shortly after, Texoma right-back William Perkins carried the ball into the box and laid it off, but no one was on the other end. Then, after another productive run, Perkins opted to shoot and sent the ball over the post.

Texoma’s first and best chance of the game came in the 29th minute when Lamin Jawneh crossed a ball into Brandon McManus, but the chance was put wide.

FC Naples took a 1-0 lead after Karsen Henderlog hit a shot from the top of the box and put it slightly out of McCready’s reach. The 1-0 scoreline held until halftime.

At halftime, Teddy Baker came on for Perkins. During the second half, Texoma made two more substitutions as Preston Kilwein was subbed off for Patrick Staszewski in the 63rd minute and Ramos was taken off for Phil Dlamini. Dlamini looked dangerous during his cameo, but Texoma was unable to find the back of the net.

In the 53rd and 89th minute, Naples scored off corner kicks to secure the 3-0 lead, with the two goals coming from former North Texas SC Captain Brecc Evans and Jake Dengler
