NTX Rayados Qualifies for the US Open Cup for the 9th-Straight Year

Local amateur powerhouse NTX Rayados has done it again, qualifying for the 2020 US Open Cup with a 3-0 win over Celtic Cowboys Premier of Austin.

Mohamed Sesay, formally of Richland College, had a hat-trick on the night and now leads the 2020 Open Cup Qualifying with 9 goals. Sesay has been training with North Texas Soccer Club most of the year but has been unable to sign with them due to visa issues.

NTX Rayados is now one or 12 teams that advance from the open rounds to the Cup proper in 2020. They will begin play in the First Round against teams from the NPSL and USL-2 as well as Newtown Pride FC, the 2019 U.S. Adult Soccer Association (USASA) National Amateur Cup champion.
