FCD Lineup Prediction
Despite Coach Eric Quill stating he wants all positions in his XI to be in competition, the evidence shows that’s not the case as Dallas has used just 18 different players during 2025, tied for the second fewest in MLS.
So with Maarten Paes and Anderson Julion back in town, I think both will go straight into the XI.
I quite liked the inverted 4-3-3 (aka a diamond 4, aka 4-3-1-2) worked quite well last week so I hope we see that again. I won’t write the tactics in stone, though, as Quill does like the 4-2-3-1, and depending on the profiles and opponent, he might go back to it.
Ramiro played quite well, so I will leave him in as the 6. Patrickson Delgado trained this week so he appears not to be in concussion protocol. On the other hand, a lot of people want Show Cafumana in as soon as possible, so I’ll pencil him from the start, knowing it’s just as likely to be Delgado again after his solid first half.
