“It isn’t necessary to have relatives in Kansas City in order to be unhappy.”
Groucho Marx
2nd in the West FC Dallas (54 points, 15-8-9) travels on Saturday to Kansas City to take on the last-place team in the conference, Sporting KC (22 points, 6-22-4), with a 2 pm kickoff from Sporting Park.
Sporting hasn’t won a game since September, when they upset Houston 2-0 down in the swamps. They have also conceded 15 goals in their last five MLS matches.
Despite falling to the Crew midweek, FCD needs just two points to lock up a top-4 spot and home field advantage in round one of the playoffs.
Weather
Cloudy and 67 degrees at kickoff. A light wind from the SSE.

FC Dallas Lineup Prediction
With Logan Farrington being questionable, I’m leaving Petar Musa in for the start, even though I would rotate him for this one if I could.
Nolan Norris and Shaq Moore are both suspended for yellow card accumulation, so Lalas Abubakar and Sebastien Ibeagha start in the back, with Osaze Urhoghide. Herman Johansson rotates back in.
Using some rotation math (Ramiro/Kaick vs SJ + Cappis/Ramiro vs Crew = Cappis/Kaick vs SKC), I’ve got Christian Cappis rotating back in with Kaick.
Daniel Job and Joaquín Valiente also rotate back in.
