North Texas SC has signed FC Dallas Academy left back Joshua Torquato to a one-year MLS NEXT Pro contract. According to our sources, this is a hybrid contract.
Torquato debuted for NTSC last week against St. Louis.
“I’ve enjoyed working with Joshua for many years. He’s a talented young player with a lot of potential,” North Texas SC head coach John Gall said. “He’s energetic and feisty and has a desire to be successful. We are looking forward to his continued development within our pathway here at North Texas SC.”
The Kona, Hawaii, native joined the FC Dallas Academy at the U12 level in 2019.
Torquato attended FC Dallas’ 2025 preseason training camp in Algarve, Portugal, due a shortage of left backs and appeared in all of the club’s preseason matches.

Solid signing. Torquato has really improved in the last two years and being a lefty is invaluable. I think his ceiling is about Marco Farfan level so he could be a pro for a long time.
