FC Dallas has loaned defender/winger Herbert Endeley to USL Championship side Colorado Switchbacks FC for the 2025 season. FC Dallas holds a right of recall. FC Dallas picked up Endeley’s option for 2025 and holds one more for 2026.
In 2024, Endeley made 19 appearances with two goals and four assists. Endeley had 2 assists in the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Cup and was named Most Valuable Player.
Endeley has played in 12 MLS games in three seasons with just 3 starts and 320 total minutes. He’s played 36 regular-season games for North Texas SC with 6 goals and 6 assists.
3rd Degree’s Take
Something needed to happen with Endeley as he wasn’t getting any playing time under the new coaching staff. With FCD picking Enzo Newman in the same right back position, Endeley had fallen to 3rd on the depth chart, and the 2nd choice, Newman, wasn’t seeing time with the first team either. With Newman getting all the playing time at right back with North Texas SC and other young players getting PT at the wing, Endeley was likely stagnating.
So a loan move is a good idea. Hopefully, Endeley can crack the Switchbacks lineup and continue to develop.
