Four FC Dallas Academy Players Named All-American by United Soccer Coaches

The United Soccer Coaches have announced their All-American Teams and four FC Dallas Academy players have been named in the squads: Tanner Tessmann, Nico Carrera, Jonathan Gomez, and Samar Guidry.

Bailey Sparks, Josh Ramsey, Macy Blackburn, Samantha Meza, Alexis Missimo, and Trinity Byars from Solar SC were also named to the All-American Team.

This is the third selection for Meza; and the second for Guidry, Byars, and Missimo.

On the FC Dallas front, Tessmann, Carrera, and Gomez are three of the highest caliber players in the U19s with pro futures – although Gomez as a 2003 is U17 eligible – Guidry is a frequent USYNT call up including the U20s. She recently committed to the University of Virginia.

Tessmann and Gomez figure heavily into North Texas SC already. Carrera, who recently committed to Louisville, should do so this upcoming season.

FC Dallas and Solar also dominated the All-Region Teams.

The girls’ side is dominated by Solar, particularly their U17 side who are a juggernaut, but props to Presley Echols of Sting. Echols is the 2019 Dallas Morning News Girls Soccer Player of the Year. Way back in the day, Sting used to be the biggest girls club in the Metroplex and one of the biggest in the United States.
