FC Dallas’ Boys DA Winter Cup Results

The FC Dallas Boys U19s and U17s took part in the DA Winter Cup this weekend at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. With the results the U19s advance to the Spring Cup Finals from April 29 – May 4 at a location to be determined.

The FCD 19s finished first atop Group C with a 2-0-1 record and a +6 goal differential. FCD opened the tournament with a 4-1 thumping of the Charlotte Independence and a 3-0 win over Nomads SC (of California). Their third game, against LA Galaxy, ended in a 2-2 tie.

FC Dallas Homegrown Dante Sealy, in his first action for the U19s this season, scored 6 goals in the three games including all four in the opener against the Independence. Andres Dicun, David Rodriguez (of North Texas SC), and Tanner Tessmann scored the other U19 goals.

The FCD u17s didn’t fare quite as well finishing 3rd in Group E with a 1-2-0 record and a -1 goal differential. The 17s lost their opener against FC Golden State (CA) but rebounded against Vardar with a 2-1 win. FCD U17s dropped their final game 1-0 to Philadelphia Union. The U17s won’t be advancing to the DA Spring Cup.

Eduardo Ruiz, Collin Smith, and Luis Medina scored the three goals for the U17s.

Solar SC

Solar was also taking part in the DA Winter Cup. The Solar U17s finished 3rd in Group D with a 1-2-0 record.

The Solar U19s finished in a three-way tie atop Group F with EMpire United and Portland Timber all with 2-1-0 record. Empire United and Solar went even further with identical +3 goal differential on 5 goals for 2 goals against (Portland was +1 GD).

Girls DA Winter Cup

The Girls DA Winter Cup runs from December 9th to the 14th. The FC Dallas U19s, U17s, U16s, and U15s are all taking part.
