CSKA Sofia announces the loan of Edwin Gyasi to FC Dallas

Update: confirmed by FC Dallas press release at 2:38 pm. Signed using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM). Gyasi will be added to the roster pending receipt of his ITC and P1 Visa.

CSKA Sofia has announced on their website they have finalized the loan of winger Edwin Gyasi to FC Dallas with an option to buy for the MLS side.  The Netherlands-born Ghanaian Gyasi, who plays for the Ghana National Team (5 caps), should be able to play for FCD after the MLS summer transfer window opens on July 7th.

Gyasi has played for De Graafschap, FC Twente, Roda JC, and Aalesund as well as other clubs in his career prior to joining Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia.   Gyasi played more than 50 games for Sofia scoring 6 goals and 10 assists.

Terms of the loan were not disclosed.

Born to Ghanaian parents, Gyasi has earned five appearances for Ghana’s national team. He made his senior debut for the Black Stars on Sept. 5, 2017, and scored his first international goal in a World Cup Qualifier against Egypt on Nov. 12, 2017.
