Two players from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex were selected in this morning’s NWSL College Draft in Baltimore, MD.
Last year’s draft saw Julie Doyle taken by Sky Blue FC with the 11th pick. Doyle had attended Baylor with WPSL stints at FC Dallas, and made 16 appearances for the New Jersey-based side last season.
Kaycie Tillman was picked 36th, another FC Dallas player, who had won a national championship with Florida State. North Carolina made the pick, but Tillman eventually signed a professional contract with PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands after leaving the back-to-back NWSL champions’ preseason camp.
