Jesse Gonzalez fined twice for same incident by MLS Disciplinary Committee

This last weekend during the FC Dallas MLS Cup Playoff game at Seattle Sounders, Jesse Gonzalez was involved in a dead ball incident with Seattle defender Nouhou. A video of the incident can be found here. As a result of the incident, the MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined Gonzalez twice for the same moment.

“The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found FC Dallas goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez in violation of the league’s policy regarding hands to the face, head or neck of an opponent. Additionally, the MLS Disciplinary Committee found Gonzalez guilty of simulation/embellishment. Gonzalez has been issued undisclosed fines for each of these actions, which occurred in the 115th minute of Dallas’ match against Seattle Sounders FC on Oct. 19.”
